Safety is the top priority, and the Optris CT series pyrometer addresses this with its version CTex, which can be used in hazardous area (ATEX) where typically explosion-proof sensors must be installed. The CTex pyrometer is additionally equipped with Zener double barriers for employment in explosion-prone areas. This version of the infrared sensor ensures secure operation in ATEX zones and environments, providing an extra layer of protection and instilling a sense of security in the comprehensive remote temperature monitoring solution (ATEX). The Optris CTex LT series pyrometers feature the same sensing heads as the CT LT series with the same characteristics. The infrared sensing heads with an optical resolution of up to 22:1 and a spectral bandwidth of 8-14 µm, are ideal for high-emissivity targets and support a wide temperature range from -50 °C to 975 °C.
The Optris CT series pyrometer places safety at the forefront, particularly in hazardous environments. The explosion-proof version, CTex LT, is equipped with Zener double barriers, specially designed for areas prone to explosions. This feature ensures secure operation, adding an extra layer of protection for comprehensive remote temperature monitoring solutions. Additionally, the CT LTex sensing head can be passively installed in hazardous areas, further enhancing safety measures with energy limitation through approved zener barriers (STAHL) for zone 1.
Featuring a two-piece design, the CT series incorporates one of the world’s smallest infrared sensors, offering an impressive optical resolution of up to 22:1 and a rapid exposure time as low as 150 ms. This design is optimized for efficient monitoring of fast-paced manufacturing processes across various industries. With a wide temperature range from -50 °C to 975 °C, suitable for non-reflective objects, the CTex LT series ensures versatility in temperature measurement applications.
The pyrometers exceptional temperature resistance enables seamless operation in ambient temperatures up to 180 °C without additional cooling, making it ideal for high-temperature environments. Its thermal shock-resistant design guarantees repeatability with ambient temperature changes, ensuring reliable performance even in challenging conditions. Manufactured to meet high-quality standards in Germany, these thermal sensors excel in demanding environments.
The Optris CT LTex series infrared sensors are designed for stability and accuracy over extended periods, making them essential tools for critical industrial processes. Their precise non-contact temperature measurement, facilitated by separate electronics, is complemented by easily accessible programming keys and an LCD interface. The stainless steel housing enhances durability, ensuring reliable performance in diverse industrial settings.
The adaptability of the Optris CTex LT series is further highlighted by its range of analog and digital outputs, including various interfaces like USB, RS485, RS232, Profibus DP, ProfiNet, Ethernet, and Ethernet/IP. This adaptability ensures seamless integration into machinery, enhancing utility across various applications and providing users with versatility.
Optional accessories further enhance the functionality of the infrared sensor, catering to diverse industrial needs. From mounting forks for secure installation to sighting tubes for precision targeting and close-focus lenses for detailed measurements of small objects, these accessories expand the series’ capabilities. Additionally, air purge accessories safeguard the temperature sensor from contaminants, while cooling jackets optimize performance in elevated temperature conditions, ensuring consistent and accurate readings.
In summary, the Optris CTex LT series pyrometer combines precision, adaptability, and durability to facilitate non-contact temperature measurements across a wide range of industrial applications, ensuring reliability and efficiency even in the most challenging conditions.
