The new advanced GL Control System

Operating an environmental test chamber has never been easier, thanks to the new GL Control System. The user interface is available from a 10-inch touchscreen or remotely via a web browser. Standard USB and Ethernet interfaces simplify programming and data acquisition, while API functions enable seamless integration with other hardware or software.

Energy-saving operation

Built into the Platinous are improved control algorithms for more efficient chamber operation. Invisible to the end user, the GL uses advanced control of an electronic expansion valve to save energy and improve control of the refrigeration system. Additional improvements in refrigeration and heater operation make the new generation of ESPEC Platinous chambers the most energy efficient ever. All systems use low GWP (global warming potential) refrigerant R-449A.

The new ESPEC GL Control System represents the natural evolution of the proven P-300 controller, offering a powerful, tightly integrated, and future-ready platform for your Platinous series chamber. This new design maintains full backwards compatibility while delivering significant user and connectivity enhancements.

Tightly Integrated Design

The GL is now a unified control system, which integrates three core components for maximum performance and flexibility:

• The core PLC controller plus Espec Web Controller with Ethernet and Enhanced Touch Screen Display

The new system features modern hardware and a larger 10-inch screen. Crucially, the operational functionality and remote software interface of the previous P-300/310 is preserved, ensuring a smooth transition for existing users.

Seamless Connectivity and Future-Ready Features

The GL is designed to be a connected system, positioning your chamber for the future of automated testing.

• Standard Connectivity:Ethernet and USB interfaces are now standard.
• Web Controller: Provides consistent functionality remotely or at the chamber. You can access and operate the chamber from any device on the local network using a web browser.
• RESTful API: Ethernet access includes a RESTful API for powerful and simplified integration with your other software.
• Backwards Compatibility: The GL is backward compatible with software written for the P-300 controller. You can use your existing P-300 software as the GL utilizes the same software commands and functionality.
• Advanced Features:
  • Store nearly unlimited programs.
  • Set up customizable alarm and event emails (macros).
  • Remote-only Network View to see all enabled chambers on one screen.

Enhanced User Experience

The new system improves ease-of-use and data handling:

• Increased Capacity: Program looping and steps are increased to 999.
• Easy Data/Program Management: The USB port allows for easy download of data files (in CSV format) and the ability to save or upload test profiles.
• Customizable Display: The default display is highly configurable; users can easily customize the screen to show only the data and functions they need.
